A one-day capacity building program was organized at ICAR-IISR on 24th November, as part of the Pradhan Manthri Formalization of Micro Food Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, funded by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. Dr. V Srinivasan, Principal Scientist and Head, Division of Crop Production and Post-Harvest Technology, inaugurated the event in which twenty-five women entrepreneurs from various blocks of Kozhikode took part. The skill development program encompassed instructional sessions on the processing, value addition, and quality management of spices. Practical training sessions were also conducted, focusing on hands-on experience in creating value-added products from ginger. The program was conducted in collaboration with the Agri-Business Incubator Unit of Kerala Agricultural University.
